Vèrta Reyes is a young, self-taught artist. She was born to a Spanish mother and an American father in the Açores. She lived most of her life in the United States, & after living for two years in Sevilla, Spain, her mother's city, is back in the United States, in the Washington, DC area for a while. VR has always loved art in all its forms, and recently she decided to dedicate herself to a career in art. She works mainly with oil and its derivatives, but also includes charcoal, ink, collage, mixed media, photography and more in her body of work. Her professional experience includes exhibitions, commissions and sales, all of which she is available for presently.
